NVC STUDENTS is planning the most epic week of 2023!

We promise that you’ve never been to a camp like this.

Slide through the mud.

Dance and sing your heart out in the dining hall.

Sit under the stars with your friends.

Compete for victory on the playing field with your squad.

Launch your friends through the air on the blob.

Tell ghost stories to your bunkhouse.

Laugh your face off while you stuff it with a slushy from the snack shop and then…

Experience the idea of faith in a fresh new way as you make friendships that will make your life better and make you better at life.

Being a young person is hard. This week will help.

FAQs

How will you get students to camp?

We have reserved charter buses, the cost of which are included in the registration price.  If you need to arrange for your student to be dropped off after our buses have already left, you are welcome to drive your student to the camp yourself.

My student has dietary restrictions/allergies. What should I do?

Please note that on your registration form and we will work with the camp to have special meals that fit their restrictions. You can also send snacks that are best suited for your student.

Can we send care packages to our students?

While we recognize this may be a tradition of other local camps, we are forming brand new traditions that students will love and therefore have no plans to do care packages this year.

How can I contact my student during the week? Is there cell phone service at Woodleaf?

Cell phone service is limited at camp. All of the adult leaders will have wifi service and will allow students to check in as needed. You will get the cell phone number of your student’s leader. Your student will be allowed to keep their cell phones with them to capture photos and videos of the week with friends. We will post Instagram photos and images each day to give fun updates about how camp is going.

Will there be a Medical Professional on site at all times?

Yes. A full-time professional nurse will be on site throughout the week.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Students will stay in bunkhouses. All bunkhouses will have 2 adults. Every person will get their own individual bed and will need to provide a pillow and sleeping bag or linens to put on their twin sized mattress.

How much money will my student need?

Lunch will be provided at NVC before we leave and snacks provided on the way back from camp. If your student has a food allergy please pack a lunch for the departure date. In addition, there is a snack shop on site where they can purchase snacks and drinks throughout our time at camp. The snack shop accepts cash and apple pay. A camp t-shirt is already included in the cost of registration.

What will students be doing at camp?

For the most part they will wake up every day and have breakfast followed by a session in the main meeting hall. Time with their group, lunch and free-time in the pool, on the giant swing, ropes course, canoes and team activities will follow. Dinner in the evenings will be followed by an evening session and more time with their group.
