I Want to be baptized

Awesome! Baptism is a huge step of faith and a great way to tell the world that you follow Jesus. Click the button to register for a baptism class and check out the FAQs below for more information.

Baptisms take place each month during regular worship services.

What is baptism?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment made to Christ. Baptism does not make you a believer – it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ does.

When should I be baptized?

After you give your life to Christ. As soon as you have given your life to Christ and have received Him as your Savior, you can and should be baptized. If you wait until you’re “perfect,” you’ll never feel “good enough”. Jesus asks you to follow Him in baptism now.

How do I know when my child is ready to be baptized?

The best way to determine if your child is ready to be baptized is to come to the baptism class. There, we will speak with you and your child to determine their level of understanding of the decision they are making.

What if I was already baptized as an infant?

If you were baptized as an infant, we would encourage you to participate in a believer’s baptism. Whoever made the decision for your infant baptism decided that on your behalf. We would encourage you to make the conscious decision for yourself as a believing adult. The question we would encourage you to ask yourself is, “Did I truly trust Christ as my Lord and Savior at the time of my baptism?”. If your answer to this question is “yes”, then we see no need to repeat the ordinance. However, if you were too young to remember, or if you were baptized for reasons beyond your understanding, we encourage you to move forward with a believer’s baptism.
